Clark County Sheriff’s Office Arrests Suspect Following Shooting Near NE 142nd Avenue

On August 8, 2026, at approximately 6:47 p.m., deputies with the Clark County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to a reported shooting near the 8000 block of NE 142nd Avenue.
Deputies contacted a victim who had a grazing wound. Deputies learned that an argument had occurred in the neighborhood regarding juveniles riding dirt bikes on the street. The initial investigation suggests only one bullet was fired.
Twenty-seven-year-old Jacob Orr was identified as a suspect. He was detained during a traffic stop as the vehicle he was in left the neighborhood. When Jacob was taken into custody, he had a .380-caliber pistol. A .380-caliber shell casing was also located at the scene.
Jacob was booked into the Clark County Jail on multiple charges, including first-degree assault, felony harassment, and reckless endangerment.
