Clark County Sheriff’s Office Investigates Stabbing In Hazel Dell - 07/24/26

On July 23, 2026, at approximately 8:00 p.m., officers with the Vancouver Police Department responded to the Vancouver Mall after a 35-year-old man reported he had been stabbed.

The man told officers the stabbing occurred at his apartment in the 8400 block of Hazel Dell Avenue (within the Clark County Sheriff's Office jurisdiction), then drove himself to the mall to hide.

CCSO deputies responded to the apartment and found blood evidence indicating an injured person had been there. The Clark County Sheriff's Office Major Crimes Unit has assumed the investigation.

The victim was transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The investigation remains in its early stages, and information is limited at this time. Investigators do not believe this was a random incident, and there is no known ongoing threat to the community.
