Clark County Sheriff's Office Investigates Apparent Murder Suicide In Hazel Dell

On 10/17/25 at 5:22 p.m., the Clark County Sheriff’s Office (CCSO), Clark County Fire District 6, and AMR were dispatched to a shooting call at 7-11, 6212 NE Highway 99, Vancouver, Washington.
First responders located two males inside the store with gunshot wounds. Both were transported to a hospital where both were later declared deceased.
The Clark County Sheriff's Office Major Crimes Unit (MCU) responded to the scene and is investigating. Based on initial statements and evidence, this incident appears to be a murder-suicide. The deceased victim was an employee at the store and had no apparent connection with the deceased suspect.
This investigation is an active and ongoing investigation. When additional information can be shared, this release will be updated. Names of the deceased will be released at a later date by the Clark County Medical Examiner’s Office.
