Southwest Washington Independent Investigative Response Team (SWIIRT) - Vancouver Police Department Officer Involved Shooting Investigation (Columbia Way), Release #5 -07/05/24

The Southwest Washington Independent Investigative Response Team (SWIIRT), led by the Clark County Sheriff’s Office, is continuing the investigation of the Vancouver Police Department’s (VPD) officer-involved shooting (OIS) that occurred on June 8th, 2024.

Investigators are still awaiting search warrant results for business records. Investigators are in the process of authoring reports to submit to the Prosecuting Attorney’s Office.

Per WAC 139-12-030, which governs independent investigations, additional updates will be provided weekly.
