On 07/31/2022 at approximately 1415 hours, Deputies were dispatched to a disturbance with a weapon in the area of NE 49th Street and NE 44th Avenue. Dispatch had callers stating they observed a reckless vehicle in the area. While the vehicle was reckless in the area, an unknown male came into the street and fired several shots at the vehicle.
The vehicle and the suspected shooter left the area prior to Deputies arriving. Evidence at the scene confirmed a shooting had taken place. Deputies canvassed the neighborhood and were not able to find any injured persons.
The CCSO Major Crimes Unit responded and is conducting the investigation. No further information will be released until the preliminary investigation is complete.
