On 11/09/21, the Clark County Sheriff’s office received a call about a video circulating around Gaiser Middle School containing threatening images, texts, and a list of students who were threatened. Gaiser and the Vancouver school district administration was involved in the investigation and the notification of students and parents.
The 13-year-old suspect was identified and interviewed. Due to COVID protocols, the suspect was not physically arrested, but charges of Felony Harassment were forwarded to the Juvenile PA. During the investigation, it was learned the suspect does not have access to any weapons and no imminent threat could be established. The deputy is working with the school to notify involved students and parents. The school district is following their protocol in the suspect student’s discipline. This is an ongoing investigation.
