News Release
Single rider injured in motorcycle collision - 04/30/21

Around 2330 hours on 04/29/2021, Sheriff's deputies and Fire/Rescue personnel responded to a single motorcycle collision at the 500 block of NE 78th Street in Hazel Dell.  Witness statements and evidence at the scene indicate the motorcyle rider had exited from Interstate 5 northbound and attempted to head westbound on NE 78th Street.  The rider appears to have turned into the eastbound lanes of 78th Street and then collided with the curb median and land in the westbound lanes of travel.  Alcohol does not appear to be a contributing factor.  The rider appeared to have significant head injury from the collision and was transported to a local hospital.  The injuries turned out to be non-life threatening.  The rider's name is not being released at this time.  Clark County Sheriff's Traffic Unit is investigating.
