News Release
Clark County Sheriff's response to February 4th shooting investigation. - 04/07/21

I had the opportunity to attend a briefing this week of the SW Washington Independent Investigation Response (SWIIR) team regarding the deputy involved shooting on February 4th, 2021 between our deputies and the motorist Jenoah Donald. I learned a great deal more about the incident and how it is said to have occurred. I recognize that there are additional levels of review to now take place, which will take some time, perhaps many months. Deputy Boyle will be returning to duty next week.

I appreciate the hard work of the SWIIR, and especially the citizen volunteers who play an important role in that process. I will now await the outcome of the next level review.

I feel it’s important to once again express my sympathies to Jenoah Donalds’ family and loved ones.

Clark County Sheriff, Chuck Atkins
