Updated information on the Officer Involved Shooting from October 4th, 2020.
The involved Vancouver Police Officers are Officer Rotha Yong and Officer Brandon Riedel.
Officer Yong, 39, was hired by the Vancouver Police Department in February 2009. She is currently assigned to West Precinct Patrol.
Officer Riedel, 26, was hired by the Vancouver Police Department in July 2018. He is currently assigned to West Precinct Patrol.
Both officers are currently on critical incident leave per investigative protocol.
