News Release
Update: Shooting at Sara J Anderson Elementary School - 11/27/19

Deputies responded to Sara J Anderson School on the report of a shooting which had just occurred.  Two victims were transported to the hospital as a result of the shooting.  One victim was pronounced deceased at the hospital due to gunshot wounds.  The second victim received non-life threatening injuries. There were three children inside the vehicle which were physically unhurt.

 

The suspect, 38 year old Keland Hill, led deputies on a short pursuit, eventually stopping on the side of the roadway at NE Andresen road and Padden Parkway.  He exited his vehicle and shot himself in the head.  Hill was also transported to an area hospital and pronounced deceased. 

 

Hill was out of jail on bail pending his court hearing and had an active restraining order involving the deceased victim where he was the respondent. 

 

CCSO is not releasing the name of the deceased victim at this time pending notification of all the family members. 

 

Clark County Major Crimes Unit continues the investigation.
