CCSO Deputy Involved In A Collision While Responding To A Stabbing Call -06/17/19

On 6-17-19 at approximately 1640 hours deputies from the Clark County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to a stabbing that had just occurred at a residence located in the 2800 block of NE 170th Ave.   The “victim” reported to dispatchers that an unknown male subject, wearing a mask and gloves, had broken into her house and stabbed her.  The suspect then reportedly ran from the location.

Multiple units from both the Clark County Sheriff’s Office and the Vancouver Police Department responded to the scene.  While enroute, one CCSO deputy was involved in a multi-vehicle collision at the intersection of NE 162nd Ave. and NE Fourth Plain Blvd.  That deputy was transported to an area hospital by ambulance with head, neck, and back pain.  Another driver was taken by family members to an area hospital with minor injuries.

Names of the involved are not being released at this time.

The collision is being investigated by the Vancouver Police Department’s Traffic Unit.

The original stabbing call was determined to be unfounded and made up by someone having a mental health crisis.

Any further inquiries regarding the collision will be directed to the Vancouver Police Department’s Traffic Unit.
