News Release
3 vehicle collision involving school bus - 05/14/19

On May 14th, 2019 at 8:20 am, Vancouver Fire personnel and CCSO Deputies responded to an injury collision in the intersection of NE 131st Avenue and NE 76th Street in Vancouver.  Upon arrival, it was found that a Toyota Matrix was traveling northbound on NE 131st Avenue and failed to stop for the stop sign of the intersection.  The Toyota Matrix entered the intersection, impacting a Subaru Crosstrek that was traveling eastbound on NE 76th Street.  The impact caused the Subaru to travel into opposing lanes, subsequently impacting an Evergreen School district bus that was traveling westbound.  The bus was occupied by several high school students, none of which were injured.

The drivers of the Toyota Matrix and the Subaru were transported to local hospitals with minor injuries.  The driver of the Toyota Matrix (causing vehicle) was issued a citation for failure to obey a traffic control device.

Names of the involved parties are not being released at this time.
