On 04/11/18 at approx. 0850, Clark County Deputies responded to 4000 NE 44th avenue on the report of a stabbing. A 69 year old male had been stabbed in the neck. The injuries were serious and he was transported to an area hospital. It was alleged his 24 year old grandson was the suspect and he fled on foot from the scene. The suspect was taken into custody a short time later in a nearby park without further incident. Area schools were put on lockdown at the time of the incident, but have subsequently been released. Clark County Major Crimes Unit and Tactical Detective Unit continue investigation.
