Hockinson Burglary/ Arson update - 01/17/18

On 01-16-18, Clark County Sheriff's Office TDU detectives along with detectives from the U.S. Marshall's Fugitive Task force located Daniel L. Cronin Jr. at an apartment complex at 8940 NE Columbia Blvd, Portland Oregon. Cronin was wanted for several felony crimes to include Burglary 1, Arson 1, Theft of a firearm and Unlawful possession of a firearm. Portland Police was also investigating Cronin for a Robbery with a handgun. After positively identifying Cronin was inside the apartment, detectives notified Portland Police. Given the severity of Cronin's criminal history, Portland activated their SERT team. Portland SERT contained the apartment and evacuated nearby residences. Cronin barricaded himself inside the apartment. After several hours in a stand off, Cronin eventually surrendered to Portland SERT team members. Cronin was booked into the Multnomah County Jail without further incident. The Burglary/ Arson investigation remains active.
