News Release
multiple armed robberies in Clark County - 12/10/17

At 0900 this morning a clerk at Oscars Market, located at 4901 NE Saint Johns Road, called to report that a male had entered the store, displayed a weapon, and demanded money. The suspect then fled the store on foot taking a small amount of money with him. Deputies from the Sheriff's Office, assisted by officers from the Vancouver Police Department, respond and an area search was conducted but we were unable to locate the suspect.

The male was described as 18 -- 20 years old, approximately 5' 10" tall with black hair wearing a brown work jacket. At the time of the robbery he was wearing a black ski mask.

19 minutes later, a similar robbery occurred at the Minit Mart located at 1901 Kauffman Ave in Vancouver, Washington. The suspect in this robbery matched the description of the suspect in the Oscars Market robbery. The suspect again displayed a weapon and demanded money. Vancouver Police responded but were unable to locate the suspect.

This is an active investigation. Additional information will be released when it is available.
