VANCOUVER, Wash. — The Clark County Historical Museum (CCHM) invites the community to an evening of local history at the historic Hidden House Event Space on Thursday, August 6, 2026, featuring local historian Peri Muhich. The Second Mrs. Hidden: Exploring the Life of Grace Hulin Hidden will uncover the remarkable story of Grace Hulin Hidden, whose life and legacy helped shape Vancouver through decades of civic service and community involvement.

The event is part of the Clark County Historical Museum Speaker Series and will take place outdoors on the grounds of the Hidden House, the 1885 home of Lowell Hidden, located at the corner of Main Street and West 13th Street in downtown Vancouver.

Muhich's presentation explores the life of Grace Hulin Hidden, Lowell Hidden's second wife, highlighting her family connections to the Hiddens through generations of skilled stone masons and examining her dedication to Vancouver through her work with numerous local service organizations. Attendees will gain new insight into a woman whose contributions have often remained overlooked in the historical record.

Doors open at 6:00 p.m., with the presentation beginning at 7:00 p.m. Guests will enjoy complimentary light appetizers prepared by the Hidden House Event Space before the program.

Admission is free for Clark County Historical Museum members and $5 for non-members. Space is limited, and advance registration is required.
