WA State Funds Project to Replace Front Steps

Vancouver, WA – Starting Monday, August 27, the Clark County Historical Museum (CCHM) front stairs will be under construction. As part of Washington State's $4.2 billion capital budget, approved earlier this year, the museum's front steps will be replaced over the coming three weeks. Access to the building will be directed through our back ADA entrance. Visitors should check-in at the front desk on the second floor (L2).

This project is one of two that encompasses the museum's $300,000 capital budget allotment from the state. The second project will see the installation of air conditioning in the 1909 building. Both improvements are set to make the museum a better place for our collection, exhibits, volunteers, and visitors.

CCHM will keep everyone updated via social media and emails concerning any potential delays or changes. We encourage everyone to like, follow, subscribe, and add us to your feeds to get the latest news.

Huge thanks goes to the City of Vancouver for facilitating/managing these projects, Washington State legislature for approving funding, our Clark County delegation for securing funding, and most of all to the state's tax payers. We are entirely grateful and excited for completion.
