Time Capsule Preview Opportunity – Friday, Feb. 20

Members of the media are invited to a brief, on-site preview of the Main Street Promise Time Capsule ahead of Friday’s public ceremony.
Media will have the opportunity to view key items — including photojournalist Reid Blackburn’s camera and items he carried on May 18, 1980, contributed by his widow — and to see the opened capsule before it is sealed for the next 100 years. Staff will be on site to answer questions.
Media Preview 9:00–9:45 a.m. Vancouver’s Downtown Association 811 Main Street. The public ceremony to place and seal the time capsule will begin at 11:00 a.m. at Main Street and West 13th Street.
