News Release
Sherwood's Dog Park, Tennis Court, and Skate Park to Reopen May 23rd - 05/22/20

Sherwoodians will have more recreation options this weekend as the City of Sherwood announces the reopening of the Snyder Park Dog Park, Skate Park and Snyder Park Tennis Courts. The City is working to safely restore these amenities while following guidelines from State of Oregon health authorities. Park patrons are asked to maintain physical distancing requirements and will be limited to groups of 10 people or fewer at a time, per State of Oregon rules that are currently in effect. As a reminder, Sherwood parks and trails are open for use, but other park amenities such as playgrounds, basketball courts, sports fields, and picnic shelters will remain closed per Governor Brown’s executive order. “As our city and county get closer to Phase One status of reopening, we are happy to reopen some of our favorite parks amenities, ,” said Joseph Gall, City Manager. “We encourage cooperation for the health of our community. We are posting updated signage to alert park users to the need to continue to practice physical distancing.” Everyone is asked to follow these best practices for mitigating the spread of the coronavirus:
?,? Wash your hands before and after your visit.
?,? Keep six feet distance between your immediate household group and other park users.
?,? Stay home if you are sick, or experiencing any symptoms: runny nose, cough, sneeze, or fever.
?,? Avoid touching surfaces.
