PD Seeks Assistance In Establishing Timeline Of Fatal Fire

Seaside, Ore. – January 2, 2021 – On Friday, January 1, at approximately 4:57 p.m., Seaside Fire and Rescue responded to a structure fire at 741 7th Avenue in Seaside. While fighting the blaze, and during their primary search, a deceased female was discovered. The victim, 69-year-old Bonnie Dasse, was the sole occupant inside the home at the time of the fire.
Seaside Police arrived moments after the 9-1-1 call and assisted Seaside Fire with the investigation. Seaside detectives are working to establish a detailed timeline of the fire and are seeking assistance from the public. Detectives are looking for anyone who witnessed the fire or has been given information from someone who did. If you recorded the event, detectives would like to take a look at that video.
