Seaside man arrested on multiple domestic charges (Photo) - 06/19/20

Seaside, Ore. – June 19, 2020 – On Friday, June 19, 2020, at approximately 1:20 a.m., Seaside Police responded to 1159 S. Downing, #8 after a report of a domestic disturbance made by the victim spouse of Saturnino Romero Martinez, 39, of Seaside. The victim was transported to Columbia Memorial Hospital while Seaside officers attempted to locate Martinez, who had fled the scene as officers arrived.  

It was determined that Martinez later returned to the residence and officers were able to take him into custody for Attempted Murder, Strangulation, Assault IV, Menacing, Harassment and Interfering with a Police Officer. Two children within the residence were released to family friends.

Statements made by the victim, as well as injuries sustained, determined there was probable cause to arrest Martinez on the above listed charges.  The investigation continues and authorities ask that anyone with information about this case contact the Seaside Police Department at (503) 738-6311.
