News Release
**UPDATE: Police continue search for shooting suspects - 11/13/17

Update -- November 13, 2017: Seaside Police and detectives from the Clatsop County Major Crime Teams continue their search for suspects in the early Sunday morning robbery and shooting at a Seaside Hotel. The 36-year-old victim's condition has been upgraded and he continues to be treated for injuries sustained in the shooting at a Portland-area hospital.

While police are still evaluating information, they continue to work leads associated with the case. And while the incident transpired at a local motel, the focus of the investigation is on a single motel room where the incident is believed to have taken place.

Police believe the victim and suspects had made contact prior to the robbery and shooting and this was not a random act. However, due to the ongoing nature of the investigation, names of those believed to be involved are not being released at this time. Authorities continue to believe there is no threat to the local community.
