Weather forecasts predict 2" to 5" of snowfall in Salem and the surrounding Willamette Valley this evening. Current snowfall is expected to increase in intensity around 3 p.m. today. City of Salem Public Works staff are working extended shifts for the duration of the snow event and have been applying additional deicer to keep our roadways as clear as possible. Please use extra caution and allow for additional travel time during the late afternoon and evening commute.
