News Release
Shop Small in Richland for Rewards - 11/22/22

The City of Richland encourages holiday shoppers to visit local businesses this holiday season. Small Business Saturday is November 26, 2022, and is a nationally recognized movement encouraging consumers to enjoy holiday shopping at local retail stores, restaurants, fitness studios, salons, and more. Many Richland businesses are running specials or promotions including the Uptown Shopping Center. The Uptown will hold its annual “shop small” event featuring weekend-only specials and chances to win gift baskets. More information can be found on the Uptown Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/uptownshopping.

In addition to Small Business Saturday, the City of Richland Economic Development Office is launching a new program providing ongoing support to Richland's small businesses. The Richland “Small Business Passport” is a digital passport offering year-round savings at some of the best local businesses in Richland. The program launches on Small Business Saturday. Shoppers can pick up a passport card at Richland City Hall, the Richland Library, the Richland Community Center, and small businesses in the Uptown Shopping Center and the Richland Parkway business districts beginning Saturday. The passport card contains a QR code to link shoppers with the latest deals and specials. Users will need to show the passport page at the time of purchase to get the deal. Passport deals change, so consumers are encouraged to check back whenever they shop.

Remember to shop small in Richland this holiday season! More information can be found at www.richlandbusiness.com/passport.
