Richland City Council to Interview Three Candidates for Vacant Position #5 - 06/22/22

The Richland City Council considered twelve qualified candidates to fill the open seat on the City Council.  After careful review, the City Council selected three candidates to move forward to the interview phase of the selection process.

The three candidates are KaeRae Parnell, Gregery Levy, and Damon Shayne Van Dyke. 

The candidates will be interviewed on Tuesday, June 28, 2022, at 3:00 p.m. in the City Council Chambers, 625 Swift Blvd. 

The City is fortunate to have received several qualified applicants and appreciates the interest expressed in serving the citizens of Richland. All qualified residents who wish to volunteer can apply for future board, commission, and committee positions. 

The candidate appointed by Council will serve until the candidate elected from the November 2, 2023, General Election takes office.

The election/appointment and service of councilmembers on the Richland City Council is governed by the Richland City Charter.

Applicants must be at least 18 years of age and be a registered elector; a resident of the City for a continuous period of at least two years prior to their election or appointment; shall hold no other public office except in the National Guard, organized reserves, or as a Notary Public; shall be a citizen of the United States, and shall not be employed by the City of Richland.

Richland City Council holds regular meetings on the first and third Tuesday of each month at 6:00 p.m. at Richland City Hall, 625 Swift Boulevard. Workshops are held on the fourth Tuesday of each month. All meetings are televised.
