City Of Richland Hosts Community Open House For Police Chief Candidates (Photo) - 04/29/19
The City of Richland, WA has selected three finalists as candidates for Chief of Police. The public is invited to meet the candidates at a Police Chief Candidate Community Open House scheduled for Thursday, May 2, 2019, from 6:00 pm – 7:30 pm at the Richland Public Library. The informal reception will provide an opportunity for citizens to ask questions, interact with the candidates, and provide feedback to City leaders. The reception will be held in the Library Gallery Room at 955 Northgate Drive.
John Bruce of Frisco, TX is the current Chief of Police of the Frisco Police Department. He has more than 24 years of law enforcement experience. John has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology and a Master's degree in Public Affairs from the University of Texas at Dallas. He is a graduate of the 216th session of the FBI National Academy. He is also a graduate of the Law Enforcement Management Institute of Texas Leadership and Command College.
George Delgado of Des Moines, WA has been in law enforcement for 20 years. He served for almost six years as the Chief of Police for the City of Des Moines, WA before being assigned as the current Director of Emergency Management. He is a graduate of the 227th session of the FBI National Academy. He has a Bachelor’s degree in Management, Communications and Leadership from Concordia University and a Master’s degree in Strategic Leadership from Mountain State University.
Trevor White of Richland, WA, is a Division Commander for the Kennewick, WA Police Department. He currently serves as the Administrative Commander overseeing the budget, professional standards and accreditation. Trevor is a graduate of the 249th Session of the FBI National Academy. He received a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Pacific Lutheran University.
Following the Community Open House, the three candidates will proceed to the final round of the interview process. Nation-wide recruitment efforts have been managed by reputable executive search consultant, Ralph Andersen & Associates.
The final candidate will replace former Police Chief, Chris Skinner, who accepted a position as Police Chief in Eugene, Oregon in 2018.
