SilverSneakers Now Available At Oregon City's Pool And Pioneer Community Center -10/17/23
Oregon City, Oregon — Oregon City Parks & Recreation Department has partnered with SilverSneakers, a community fitness program designed exclusively for older adults, that other city's have been using with positive results. The partnership will provide free memberships to Oregon City seniors, and encourage older adults to increase their physical activity levels and motivate them to stay active.
The program offers a variety of fitness opportunities, including frequent strength training, aerobic, and flexibility exercise, by providing access to a variety of venues and programming designed specifically for older adults. More than 14.5 million people are eligible for the SilverSneakers benefit through the nation’s leading Medicare Advantage health plans, Medicare Supplement carriers, and group retiree plans, with no additional cost to the members.
