Winter Village Returns To Hillsboro --- THIS Friday, November 29 (Photo) -11/27/19

The area’s only open-air ice skating rink reopens in Hillsboro this Friday, November 29, when Winter Village’s 3,000-square-foot skating rink welcome skaters, starting at 10 am, at Jerry Willey Plaza at Orenco Station (943 NE Orenco Station Loop, next to the Orenco MAX Station in Hillsboro). Opening day's last skate will begin at 8 pm, and Winter Village continues through January 5, 2020.

“Create a new holiday tradition this year,” said City of Hillsboro employee Stacy Ahlberg, Winter Village’s lead organizer. “Grab a bite to eat, do a little shopping, lace up the ice skates for a skate session, then enjoy a hot beverage afterward.”

Several years ago, Hillsboro residents asked City leaders for more family-friendly activities during winter break. Now, in its fifth year, Winter Village continues to grow as an annual community celebration.

New This Year: Winter Market, an outdoor holiday shopping experience, will be part of Winter Village on Sundays  (December 1, 8, 15, and 22) from 10 am to 3 pm, brought to you by the Hillsboro Farmers' Markets and the City of Hillsboro. Skating Details

Ticket sales begin 15 minutes before the start of each skating session. Purchase tickets at the time you plan to skate. There are no pre-sale or online purchases. Sessions may sell out, so it is strongly recommended to arrive on time and with more than 30 minutes left in a session. 

• General skating sessions last 90 minutes followed by a 30-minute break for ice resurfacing and skate maintenance.
• Limited skate sizes and Bobby skate aid rentals available. 
• Ice rink capacity is 70 skaters at one time.
• When you purchase a ticket for a session, you may leave the ice and return during that session. Your ticket is valid only for that session.

• Age 12 and older (General) : $13
• Ages 4 - 11: $10
• Age 3 and under: Free
• Family 4-Pack (Wednesdays): $40
• Bobby skate aid rental: $5

• Military/First Responders and family members: $1 off per person (Must show ID, cannot be combined with other offers.)
• Bring Your Own Skates: $2 Discount
   
• Buy a five-session punch card and save $10 off regular prices. General $55, Youth $40
• Cash, credit, and debit cards are accepted. All sales are final — no refunds.

Weekends and Holiday Season

November 29 & 30; December 1, 7 & 8, 14 & 15, 21 & 22, 24*, 28 & 29, 30 & 31; January 1, 2, 3, 4, 5

Open for all sessions at 10 am, with the last session starting at 8 pm. Please see the table above for skating session details.

*Winter Village will close early on December 24. The last skate will begin at 2 pm. 
**Winter Village will be closed in observance of the Christmas Holiday on December 25. 
 

Wednesdays — Fridays: December 4, 5, 6, 11, 12, 13, 18, 19, 20, 26, 27

                Open from 4 – 9:30 pm, with last session starting at 8 pm.
 

Limited and Private Skate Sessions: December 2, 3, 9, 10, 16, 17

On Mondays and Tuesdays, Winter Village is closed during all General Admission skate sessions. The skating rink is open for Private Rentals and for Toddler Tuesdays only. 

Toddler Tuesdays

• Tuesdays 10 am – Noon through December 17
• Ages 18 months – 5 years only with parents/guardians (older siblings okay).
• $3 off regular pricing
