Gresham Seeks Proposals To Provide Organizational Review Of Police Department - 06/25/21

GRESHAM, Ore. –To meet the City of Gresham’s goal of providing modern police services in an equitable manner that aligns with its best practices, the City is soliciting proposals for an independent organizational review of the Gresham Police Department.

The goal is to assess the Police Department’s core processes, services, climate/culture, workload, and assigned Council Work Plan priorities, to help the City:

•            Understand the current strengths and weaknesses of the department in terms of meeting best practices, with recommendations for improvement.

•            Determine how to prioritize work to fully modernize the department and align it with current best  practices and direction set by City Council.

When asked the importance of this work, Deputy City Manager Corey Falls said, "Our Police department strives to provide the highest level of service to our community members. It's important to review our practices to ensure we are providing it as law enforcement and community expectations are changing."

The review will produce a final report summarizing findings and recommendations.

The Request for Proposal No. 21-50 will be open from June 25 – July 1, with an estimated project timeframe of six months.

Information about the RFP, including how to deliver sealed proposals, is online at GreshamOregon.gov/Purchasing. Select the “View current bids and RFPs” link under “Bids and RFP opportunities.”
