GRESHAM, Ore. – The City of Gresham allocated a total of $20,000 in grants to four community organizations for projects that improve the quality of life for residents of Gresham. A diverse mix of projects will take place across the city including special needs student educational programs, senior citizen digital access and youth recreation opportunities. This new grant is funded by Metro solid waste franchise fees and is awarded to organizations that improve neighborhood livability, economic opportunities and more.
The inaugural grant process was highly competitive, with strong proposals submitted by several organizations. Funding was awarded to the following organizations and projects:
