Battle Ground Parks & Recreation Services - 08/02/18
Battle Ground, WA - Yesterday, August 1, Battle Ground City Manager Jeff Swanson accepted the resignation of Parks & Recreation Director Debbi Hanson. Ms. Hanson had served as the city’s Parks & Recreation Director since 2008, and the city thanks her for her years of service.
Parks & Recreation services will continue without interruption. Park oversight and maintenance will continue under management of the Public Works Department. All other Parks & Recreation Department functions, including Community Center and Senior Center rentals and activities, special event permits, and recreational programs are operating as usual, managed by existing city staff under the direction of the City Manager.
The Parks & Recreation Director position will remain unfilled pending an evaluation to identify the needs of the department.
