Honor a U.S. Veteran with a commemorative brick at the Battle Ground Veterans Memorial (Photo) - 02/13/18

Honor and recognize a U.S. Veteran, living or deceased, with an engraved brick to be installed at the Battle Ground Veterans Memorial.

Personalized bricks, purchased by March 1st, will be engraved and installed at the memorial in time for Memorial Day this year. Each brick is engraved with the veteran's name, branch of service and dates of service. The cost of $250 supports events to honor veterans and the ongoing maintenance of the memorial.

The Battle Ground Veterans Memorial, located in Kiwanis Park, was built and dedicated on November 11, 2015 to honor 31 local sons who died in service to our country and to recognize all U.S. veterans. The memorial was fully funded and constructed by donations, evidence of the community's steadfast commitment to honoring those who serve in the U.S. Armed Forces and those who died protecting our freedom.

To learn more about the memorial and to purchase a brick to honor a veteran, visit www.cityofbg.org/veteransmemorial or contact Battle Ground Parks & Recreation at 360-342-5380.
