The Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting has been awarded to the City of Battle Ground by the Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA). The award recognizes the city for its 2016 Comprehensive Annual Financial Report (CAFR). The Certificate of Achievement is the highest form of recognition in the area of governmental accounting and financial reporting.
"Finance Director Maggie Smith and her staff have prepared a CAFR that clearly communicates the city's financial standing to citizens and stakeholders," said City Manager Jeff Swanson. "The award reflects their exceptional efforts and expertise."
