Region 12 Tournament in Hillsboro
When: February 23rd starting at 8:30 a.m.
Where: South Meadows Middle School
Students in grades 6-12 from Columbia and Washington counties will compete in the Chess for Success Region 12 Tournament at South Meadows Middle School (4690 SE Davis Rd). Individual and team winners will be invited to the 52nd Chess for Success State Chess Tournament March 8th and 9th at the Oregon Convention Center in Portland.
Chess for Success is a Portland based non-profit organization whose mission is to help children succeed in school and in life through learning chess. The organization runs chess clubs in more than 86 schools throughout the state of Oregon and Southwest Washington serving more than 2,000 students.
