Results Of The Region 21 Chess Tournament At Ridgeview High School (Photo) - 02/21/18

Results of the Region 21 Chess Tournament at Ridgeview High School The following students have qualified for the State Chess Tournament: * Elk Meadow Elementary o 2 students qualified as individuals * Liberty Online Academy o 1 student qualified as an individual * M.A. Lynch Elementary o 2 students qualified as individuals o The team qualified * Pilot Butte Middle School o 2 students qualified as individuals o The team qualified * Redmond Proficiency Academy o 1 student qualified as an individual * Sisters Elementary o 2 students qualified as individuals o The team qualified * Terrebonne Community School o 3 students qualified as an individual o The team qualified * Tumalo Community School o 1 student qualified as an individual * Vern Patrick Elementary School o 1 student qualified as an individual These individual and team winners are invited to the 51st Chess for Success State Chess Tournament March 9 and 10 at the Oregon Convention Center in Portland. Chess for Success (CFS) is celebrating its 25th anniversary. CFS is a Portland based non-profit organization whose mission is to help children succeed in school and in life through learning chess. The organization runs chess clubs in more than 78 schools throughout the state of Oregon and Southwest Washington serving more than 2,000 students.
