Cherriots Welcomes Spencer Rosenau To Its Board Of Directors (Photo) - 09/21/26

SALEM, OR – (September 21, 2026 ) — Cherriots is pleased to welcome Spencer Rosenau, representing Subdistrict 1 in West Salem, to its Board of Directors following his confirmation on September 8.

Spencer brings public policy experience, neighborhood leadership, and the firsthand perspective of a frequent Cherriots rider. He currently supports the Oregon Health Authority’s Health Policy and Analytics Division, previously served as a legislative assistant to Representative Nathanson, and chairs CANDO, Salem’s Central Area Neighborhood Development Organization.

“Spencer brings a valuable combination of public policy experience, neighborhood leadership, and firsthand perspective as a Cherriots rider. His commitment to safe, reliable, and accessible transportation, along with meaningful community engagement and equity, will strengthen our work as we expand service and respond to the needs of the diverse communities we serve. We are delighted to welcome him to the Board,” said Maria Hinojos Pressey, Cherriots Board President.

As a strong advocate for public and active transportation, Spencer is interested in opportunities to improve and expand service, including new mobility options that address first- and last-mile connections. He also brings a focus on accessibility, multilingual outreach, community listening, and equitable transportation options.
