Clackamas County Closes Backyard Burning

Effective at noon today (June 1, 2021), Clackamas Fire Defense Board is temporarily closing the backyard burn season until Friday, June 4th at which time we will evaluate. This is due to high heat and low humidity conditions. We will reevaluate conditions Friday morning to determine a potential re-opening for the weekend.
As a general reminder, recreational fires are highly discouraged during this time. If a fire is posing a threat to life or property, citizens are encouraged to call 911 immediately.
Refer all smoke complaints to DEQ's website: https://www.oregon.gov/deq/Get-Involved/Pages/File-Pollution-Complaint.aspx
Agricultural permit holders are still allowed to burn during this closure.
