News Release
Camas Robbery Suspect in Custody - 01/22/18

On January 15th at 2:17am, Camas Officers were dispatched to a disturbance involving four people that just occurred at the 400 block of NE 35th Ave. Upon arrival, they quickly realized a robbery had occurred and only two males were still on site; the victim and a person ultimately identified as one of the suspects. The other two suspects fled the scene in a vehicle prior to police arrival.

The investigating officers learned that a 17yo suspect physically assaulted the known, 18yo victim during a drug transaction and also threatened him with a firearm prior to stealing money and drugs from him.

The victim had minor injuries from the assault and the firearm was not discharged. No medical treatment was needed for anyone involved.

Camas Detectives continued the investigation and identified three suspects;
1. 18yo Camas, WA resident, Edward H. Rog
2. 18yo Camas, WA resident, Cody W. Williams
3. Identified 17yo juvenile; also a Camas, WA resident.

Shortly after the robbery, the two listed 18yo suspects were arrested and booked at Clark County Jail for Robbery 1st Degree for their involvement.

Camas Detectives obtained an arrest warrant for the outstanding juvenile suspect and had the assistance of the U.S. Marshall's Office and Vancouver Police Department in actively looking for him throughout the entire Portland Metro area.

On January 22nd, the suspect was located at the Motel 6 in Vancouver, WA. He was taken into custody, without incident, by Vancouver Police Department and the Clark County Regional SWAT Team. The 17yo suspect was booked into the Clark County Juvenile Detention Facility for Robbery I and Assault II.

All persons involved in this incident were acquaintances and with the final arrest made, this investigation has been concluded.
