Search for Daytime Burglar - 11/22/17

Camas, Washington --

Around 0820 hours this morning, Camas Police units were dispatched to a stolen vehicle from a Prune Hill business parking lot. En route to the call, the reported stolen vehicle was located, left abandoned, on Hwy 14.

A short distance from that stolen vehicle on Hwy 14, Camas units were dispatched to a vehicle theft in progress at the 5400 block of SW 6th Ave. That theft and attempted residential burglary was interrupted by the homeowner and the male suspect fled on foot.

With the assistance of Washougal Police, Washington State Patrol, Clark County Sheriff's Office and Burlington Northern Santa Fe Police, a K-9 track was initiated, but the suspect was not located.

Camas Police is thankful for the assistance of the many agencies involved.
