For Immediate Release: Groundbreaking For Jenkins Middle School’s New Academic Wing - 10/14/25

Colorado Springs, CO
 

Colorado Springs School District 11 will celebrate the groundbreaking of Jenkins Middle School’s new academic wing on Thursday, October 16, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at 6410 Austin Bluffs Parkway.
 

The new wing will feature state-of-the-art classrooms, flexible collaboration spaces, and innovative learning environments designed to prepare students to be future-ready. The project is made possible with Bryan Construction, CRP Architects, and D11 expresses gratitude for the Colorado Springs Fire Department.
 

Superintendent Michael Gaal said, “This academic wing will be a place where students can explore, create, and learn in a modern, future-ready environment.”
 

Principal Tony Jackowski added, “Finally, a wing that matches the awesomeness of our students! This space will let them think big, collaborate, and discover their strengths — with a little fun along the way.”
 

Construction is expected to be complete by August 2026. The Jenkins community has shown remarkable resiliency and dedication as learning continues throughout renovations.
