North Middle School Celebrates 100 Years! Join Us For A Historic Event Today! -09/24/24

North Middle School, one of the oldest middle schools in District 11, is proudly celebrating its 100th anniversary! First opening its doors on September 29, 1924, North has been a beacon of education and community in downtown Colorado Springs. To commemorate this incredible milestone, a special celebration will be held today, Tuesday, September 24th, from 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM at North Middle School.

Event Highlights:  

Food trucks & entertainment: Indulge in treats from Big Papa’s Grill, Stan’s Funnel Cakes, and Chick-Fil-A while enjoying live music and lawn games.  

Walk-through history tour: Relive North’s storied past with student reenactments of each decade, alongside displays of original archives, yearbooks, and alumni videos.  

Special guests & time capsule unveiling: Mayor Yemi Mobolade, Superintendent Dr. Michael Gaal, and other local leaders will attend to unveil a historic time capsule, marking this extraordinary occasion.

This is a once-in-a-lifetime event celebrating 100 years of learning, legacy, and community spirit! Don’t miss the chance to be part of this unforgettable evening.
