Join D11 For The 11th Annual Howbert Elementary Walk-A-Thon! -09/23/24
Colorado Springs, CO — Get ready to walk, run, and dance for a cause! The Howbert Elementary School Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) is excited to announce its 11th Annual Walk-A-Thon, taking place on Friday, September 27, 2024, from 8:45 to 9:30 AM. This spirited community event is more than just a fun-filled morning—it's a chance to promote healthy living while supporting essential educational programs at Howbert Elementary!
Why We Walk:
With a goal of raising over $20,000, every dollar collected will directly benefit our students. Funds will enhance classroom resources, provide outdoor learning experiences, support technology initiatives, and fund exciting field trips.
Event Highlights:
Join approximately 250 Howbert Elementary students as they showcase their school spirit by walking, running, or dancing around our playground, all clad in vibrant, color-coordinated shirts. The event will be filled with energy, excitement, and a strong sense of community spirit, featuring special appearances from our local police department, as well as mascots from Holmes Middle School and Coronado High School!
Prizes & Celebrations:
To add to the excitement, local businesses are providing prizes for the top 20 fundraisers! Additionally, students who raise over $75 will be treated to a delicious pizza lunch from Louie’s Pizza the following week. To show our appreciation, we’ll host a special assembly to celebrate our students’ hard work and dedication.
