Media is invited to Midland Elementary School, 2110 W. Broadway St, 80904, to celebrate the donation of brand new bikes and helmets to all second-grade students on Tuesday, September 19, 2023, 11:30 a.m. - 12:45 p.m. Thanks to the generosity of Wish for Wheels, in partnership with the Weifield Group, these bikes and helmets will be provided to Midland students at no cost.
Wish for Wheels is a nonprofit organization that partners with area businesses to provide bikes to Title 1 schools. Wish for Wheels knows that so many kids in struggling families dream about the day they will get to ride their own bike and have the freedom that a set of wheels promises them. That is why they've made it their mission to empower the well-being of 2nd graders, their families, and the local community in Title 1 schools nationwide with a brand new bike and helmet.
