News Release
Sheriff's Office set to participate in 'National Drug Take-Back Day' on Saturday, Oct. 24 - 10/15/20

Want to safely dispose of unwanted, unused prescription drugs?

The Clackamas County Sheriff's Office will hold a no-questions-asked "Prescription Drug Take-Back" on Saturday, Oct. 24, 2020 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Public Safety Training Center parking lot (12700 SE 82nd Ave., Clackamas, OR 97015). [ map ]

Sheriff's Office deputies will be on hand to accept unwanted medications at your driver's-side door.

Prescription medications are among the most commonly abused drugs, so it is important to dispose of them safely after they are no longer needed by the patient. Flushing pharmaceuticals down the toilet can be dangerous both for the community and local wildlife, so take-back programs like this are the best option for disposing of unused prescription drugs.

The event is held in coordination with the Drug Enforcement Administration's National Drug Take-Back Day.
