Clackamas County Fair Fire 2020 (Photo) - 09/13/20

The fires around the community have affected many households in different ways. During this unprecedented time The Clackamas County Fairgrounds & Event Center has been serving as an emergency evacuation center for animals. This service began September 8th at 12:30am and have served a total of 1,565 animals and their owners as of September 13th at 10am. Currently there are 754 animals and their owners being housed on the grounds.

There has been a tremendous amount of donations from food, clothing, pet food and much more that have been given to people and animals in need. A HUGE thank you to all the businesses and individuals that have been so generous with their donations. For these donations all are eternally grateful. If you would like to donate, those donations can be made through the Clackamas County Fair Improvement Foundation at any time. Items donated will be given to those staying on the grounds who have been affected by this crisis and any excess items will be distributed to other charitable organizations throughout Clackamas County.

We can’t thank our community members, volunteers and people who have contributed enough! Thank you so much for all your support, the strength of our community will get us through this crisis. Thanks again!
