Firefighters Battle Stubborn Grease Fire In Hazel Dell - 07/02/24

Firefighters with Clark County Fire District 6 and Vancouver Fire were called to an early morning blaze at Don Pedro’s Mexican restaurant this morning on Highway 99 near 63rd Street.  Employees opening the restaurant reported wires and grease on fire, and they tried to extinguish the blaze using fire extinguishers…to no avail.

After we got there Highway 99 was closed and crews started extinguishing the fire, which stubbornly continued to re-ignite. Within 10 minutes crews had the blaze knocked down and the Clark County Fire Marshal’s office arrived to determine a cause of the blaze.

No one was injured in the fire and no damage estimate is available at this time.
