News Release

‘Eurydice’ Opens At Clackamas Community College Nov. 12 (Photo) - 10/19/26

OREGON CITY – Clackamas Community College’s Theatre Department presents Sarah Ruhl’s “Eurydice” as its fall main stage production.

In this adaptation of the classic Greek myth, Ruhl places Eurydice at the center of a story about grief, family and letting go. When tragedy takes Eurydice to the underworld on the day of her wedding to Orpheus, she reunites with her late father and builds a new home. But as Orpheus searches for a way to reach her, Eurydice faces the challenge of holding onto her memories in a place designed to forget.

Directed by Allison Moon, “Eurydice” features a dynamic ensemble of CCC students, with scenic and lighting design by Chris Whitten and costumes by Aiden McFarland.

“Eurydice” runs Nov. 12-22, Thursdays and Fridays at 7:30 p.m., Saturdays and Sundays at 2:30 p.m., and Friday, Nov. 20 at 10 a.m., in the Niemeyer Osterman Theatre, 19600 Molalla Ave., Oregon City. An opening night reception will take place Nov. 12 at 6:30 p.m. in the Niemeyer Center lobby.

Tickets are $17 for adults, $15 for seniors (62+) and free for all students. Tickets are discounted $1 if purchased online. Visit www.clackamas.edu/theatre or call 503-594-3153 for reservations.
