OREGON CITY – Keep your kids active and entertained over summer break at an Environmental Learning Center (ELC) camp at Clackamas Community College! The ELC is offering two hands-on camps for children in first through fifth grade over three weeks.

Nature Spy Water Camp (first and second grade)

Campers will enjoy a variety of fun, age-appropriate activities related to water in nature. Explore the wetland; discover creatures that swim, hop, and float on water; learn to be a good steward of the environment; and make crafts and play games. Nature Spy Water Camp runs July 8-11, July 15-18 and July 29-Aug. 1. Cost: $230.

Nature Spy Astronomy Camp (third through fifth grade)

Campers will explore galaxies beyond Earth with fun activities about the solar system. Hunt for micrometeorites, experience the power of the sun through solar oven baked s’mores, use telescopes, solve mysteries and more. Nature Spy Astronomy Camp runs July 8-11 and July 15-18. Cost: $250.

All summer camps are 9 a.m.-4 p.m. at the ELC located on the Oregon City campus, 19600 Molalla Ave. Before and after care is available. Scholarships are offered on a first-come, first-served basis.
