County To Host Manufactured Home Park Information Session (Photo) - 08/28/26

Vancouver, Wash. – Clark County community members are invited to attend an information session on proposals relating to manufactured home parks in unincorporated Clark County on Sept. 14 at 6:30 pm.

In August 2025, the Clark County Council declared a moratorium to prohibit the redevelopment of existing manufactured home parks (MHPs) within its jurisdiction. The moratorium was renewed through February 2027 to allow time to develop strategies to better support preservation of existing MHPs, to help maintain this affordable housing option, and to minimize resident displacement.

As part of the Comprehensive Growth Management Plan update project, the county is considering changes to comprehensive plan policies and the addition of a new MHP overlay zone within unincorporated urban growth areas. The purpose of the overlay is to prioritize MHP uses and limit other residential uses to reduce redevelopment pressure. The proposal is similar to zoning tools used in several Washington cities, including the City of Vancouver, looking to preserve MHPs and minimize displacement of park residents.

An information session on the proposals relating to MHPs in the unincorporated urban growth areas will begin with a presentation followed by a question-and-answer session. Options are available to attend in-person or remotely:

  • Date: Monday, Sept. 14, 2026
