Columbia Basin College Receives Funds For Future Behavioral Healthcare Workforce - 11/02/23

Pasco, WA, November 2, 2023 - Columbia Basin College (CBC) announced today that it was chosen by the Gesa Community Foundation as a recipient of Gesa Credit Union’s Local Heroes Grant Award. The CBC Foundation was awarded $12,000 to assist the EMT/Paramedic program enhance training around airway management. Specifically funds will purchase a light weight, portable ventilator that is equivalent to what graduates will see in the field.


Mastering airway management is crucial for those in emergency medicine. Given its vital importance, paramedics are required to undertake advanced airway management courses biennially. These courses are part of CBC's continuing education program. Therefore, providing funding not only benefits our students but also significantly supports the wider community.
